The official handle of AI platform Hanuman posted a post on X Post has announced the launch through the company’s official website. It says, “Say hello to Hanooman, India’s first generative AI that eliminates language barriers! Experience seamless communication in your preferred language! Be it Hindi, Tamil, Bengali or any other language, Hanooman has got you covered!” Notably, the company has made its chatbot available via both a web client as well as an Android app.
Features of Hanooman AI
According to the developers, the chatbot is designed to be functional in several key sectors including healthcare, governance, financial services, and education. With support for 12 Indian languages and a total of 98 global languages, Hanuman AI can respond to users in their own language. The AI supports several other global languages including English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, Russian, and Chinese.
The chatbot does all the same things as OpenAI’s ChatGPT or Google’s Gemini It can answer questions, compose text, share recipes and have conversations. The company has not shared any information about the size of the training data or the standards used in the AI model. However, the company said that “Hanuman integrates special LLM with an integration matrix, allowing seamless data transformation into clear, adaptive insights and actionable intelligence.”
We at Gadgets 360 tested the chatbot and found that it works well on basic text-based generative AI tasks. Notably, it is not multimodal and does not have access to the internet. This means that it cannot take photos as input or generate them and does not have real-time information.
Users can talk to it in different languages. It was tested in English, Hindi and Bengali. While its responses were great in English and Hindi, it sometimes struggled in Bengali. We saw a few instances where the response was unclear or it did not understand what was being said. However, like all generative AI, it is expected to improve the more it learns.
