Young adults do not want to answer phone calls rely more on text says Survey

[ad_1]

When mobile phones were newly introduced, it became easier for people to connect with each other. Even in the era when calling cost Rs. 2.5 per minute, people would ask about the well-being of their loved ones, but now priorities are changing. In the era of cheap phone calls, people prefer sending texts or messages over calls. According to a report by MetroUK, today’s young adults (aged 18 to 34) are completely ignoring phone calls. One-fourth of adults have admitted that they have never answered phone calls.

it figures This is a part of a latest survey which shows that people’s communication preferences have changed. 70% of young adults put texting on top position. Voice notes are also becoming popular. 40% said that it is their choice. People usually associate calls with some bad news.

The survey revealed that calling is still the first choice among 35 to 54 year olds who use the phone compared to young adults. Only 1 percent of people in that age group prefer texting over calling.

This survey talks about the changes taking place in people’s communication style. There was a time when phone calls were the main way to connect with anyone, but now texting and voice notes are becoming the choice of young adults. This survey is based on Britain. There, from 2012 to 2022, 1.3 trillion online messages and 36 billion text messages were exchanged.

Why do people not want to receive phone calls? In the survey, most people attributed this to the pressure they feel on the call. More than half of the people believed that phone calls bring negative news.
