Yamaha Aerox 155 S Variant Price in India 1.50 Lakh Launched With Smart Key Book Online Specifications Details

Yamaha has launched a new S variant of its sports scooter, the Aerox 155, in India, which comes with a smart key. By pressing a button in this ‘smart key’, the scooter’s blinker turns on and a buzzer sound starts playing, which can help in finding the scooter’s location in the parking lot. The new variant also gets special silver and racing blue color options. The powertrain is the same as the original variant, which means that the Aerox 155 S also gets a 155cc, liquid-cooled engine with variable valve actuation technology, which is capable of generating 14.75bhp and 13.9Nm. It includes a single monoshock with telescopic forks, while braking is handled by single discs on both the front and rear wheels.

The Yamaha Aerox 155 S is priced at Rs 1,50,600 (ex-showroom, Delhi) in India. The new variant is Rs 1,500 more expensive than the original variant and Rs 3,000 more expensive than the MotoGP variant. This can be used to easily find the scooter in the parking lot, as the scooter gives a buzzer sound along with the blinkers. There is also no need to manually insert the key to start the scooter, as the scooter unlocks as soon as the key comes close to the scooter. The rider has to turn the knob in the scooter towards the ignition and press the starter button.

When the key is out of range, it locks the scooter to prevent possible theft. The company says that the inclusion of this feature will significantly increase the safety level by preventing the risk of unauthorized access to the scooter.

The technical specifications of the Aerox 155 S variant are the same as the other variants. It comes equipped with a 155cc, liquid-cooled engine with variable valve actuation technology, which is capable of generating 14.75bhp and 13.9Nm. It gets 14-inch alloy wheels, which come with telescopic forks and a monoshock suspension. Braking is handled by a single disc at both ends. It has a 5.5-litre fuel tank and weighs 126kg.
