The MG Hector Blackstorm Edition starts at Rs 21.25 lakh (ex-showroom) in India for the diesel-MT 6-seater variant. The top-spec model is priced at Rs 22.76 lakh (ex-showroom). Starting with the design of the new edition, the Hector Blackstorm gets a starry-black exterior paint job. As we mentioned, the company has included a gun-metal finished front grille, black headlamp bezels, smoked taillights, black-out 18-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers and black ORVMs with red highlights. On the inside, there is an all-black layout with gunmetal accents on the center console, AC vents, door trims and steering wheel. The seats get black leatherette upholstery.
It gets a large 14.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto. It gets a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster with connected car tech. The company has kept a powered driver seat with 360-degree camera and ventilated seats in these trims. Some other features include panoramic sunroof, six airbags, stability control, traction control and advanced driver-assist system (ADAS).
What hasn’t changed is the powertrain. The Hector Blackstorm gets two engine options, of which the petrol engine produces 143hp, 250Nm, while the diesel engine is capable of generating 170hp, 350Nm. The petrol engine comes only with a CVT transmission and the diesel only gets a 6-speed manual.
