Government warns Hackers can target iPhone MacBook iPad Users

Apple Gadgets are generally considered safe and secure, but a warning has been issued not only for iPhones but also for MacBooks, iPads and the recently launched Vision Pro headset. According to media reports, India’s cyber security agency (Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has alert It is said that Apple’s devices have ‘Remote Code Execution Vulnerability’. This means that hackers can target these devices. This vulnerability affects all Apple software and hardware. CERT-In says that hackers can gain access to a device remotely and execute arbitrary code on the targeted system.

According to CERT-In, this vulnerability is in iPhones and iPads with iOS and iPad OS versions prior to 17.4.1. This vulnerability is present in iOS and iPad versions prior to the 16.7.7 update. These versions are present on devices like iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPad gen 5, iPad Pro 9.7 inch and iPad Pro 12.9 inch gen 1.

CERT-In has classified this issue as ‘high’ in threat category. It is said that the remote code execution vulnerability also affects Apple Safari versions prior to 17.4.1. These versions are available on macOS Monterey and macOS Ventura.
