ISRO RLV 3rd landing: India’s ‘Pushpak’ aircraft i.e. Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV) has successfully landed for the third time. Indian space agency ISRO shared this information on Sunday. According to PTI Bhasha, during the third landing, RLV showed its ability to land in more difficult conditions. This success has given ISRO new hope. It is said that RLV is a kind of space shuttle. When it is ready, satellites and cargo will be delivered to space with its help.

The experiment conducted on Sunday was named Landing Experiment (LEX-03). This testing was done at 7.10 am Indian time from the Aeronautical Test Range (ATR) in Chitradurga, Karnataka.

According to the report, ISRO has said that during the RLV LEX-03 testing, the reusable vehicle demonstrated landing capabilities in more difficult conditions. This time the RLV was landed from a height of more than 500 meters amid strong winds. During the second test, it was landed from a height of 150 meters.

RLV i.e. ‘Pushpak’ was launched from a Chinook helicopter of the Indian Air Force 4.5 km away from the runway. Pushpak reached near the runway and made a successful landing. This mission was accomplished jointly by Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC), Indian Air Force, IIT Kanpur and Airports Authority of India. ISRO Chairman S. Somnath congratulated the team for continuing the success streak in this complex mission.

What will Pushpak do?

Popularly known as Pushpak Viman, RLV is a kind of space shuttle. When it is ready, satellites and cargo will be delivered to space with its help. It is being completely developed in the country. When its bigger version is ready, the hopes of reaching space will increase. Having a reusable launch vehicle can reduce India’s space launch expenses.
