Everything is becoming smart these days, even toilets. Kohler often launches luxury toilets equipped with advanced and quirky technology and the company has now come up with a new product called Numi 2.0. This smart toilet comes with smartphone connectivity, voice assistant and motion-activated seats. Yes, you read it right, a toilet that will activate as soon as you approach it and will play jets or songs on your command. Let’s talk about Numi 2.0 in detail.

Although Kohler has equipped this smart toilet with many advanced technologies, but at the same time you will have to empty your pocket to buy it. The company has launched Numi 2.0 at a starting price of Rs 16 lakh and its top model goes up to Rs 20 lakh. For comparison, you can buy a premium sedan or SUV at this price.

Currently, it has been launched in the global market and is expected to arrive in India by the end of the year. Numi 2.0 was initially showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last year.

Numi 2.0, the most advanced smart toilet in the world, was showcased at the India Design 2024 exhibition in New Delhi. Numi 2.0 has advanced features like voice assistant, integration with Alexa, heated personal cleansing, dual flush and motion-activated seat cover. With all these features, it definitely looks like a toilet from a sci-fi movie.

Salil Sadanandan, President, South Asia, Asia Pacific at Kohler, emphasised at the launch that Kohler focuses on meaningful and relevant technology rather than gimmicks. He spoke of the success of last year’s launched product ‘Sweda’, which emits steam for therapeutic and cosmetic purposes.

The Numi 2.0’s exterior is made of titanium-coated black glass. It can be controlled via a smartphone app or voice commands, offering personalized experiences like preset routines for lighting and music.

From a hygiene perspective, the Numi 2.0 features automatic UV sanitisation for cleaning after each use.
