Fake News The broadcast was primarily aimed at highlighting Israeli operations in Gaza, with a banner reading “We have no choice but to hack to get our message across to you.” The broadcast then featured an AI-generated fake anchor showing graphic images. These images were not verified. The images were of Palestinians, women and children allegedly killed and injured by Israeli forces inside Gaza.

According to the report, the users who witnessed the news broadcast and were interviewed said that it was very scary to see the news broadcast on the TV screen. A female user said that she had no way to hide the graphic images that were suddenly shown on the TV from her children. The hack was so strong that the same content was being shown on every TV channel. Microsoft Threat Analysis Center (MTAC) said in a report on February 8 that this news broadcast had also reached users in Britain and Canada.
