Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrashekhar said that if citizens are troubled by deepfake videos and file an FIR against social media platforms, then the government will also help these citizens in case of violation of IT rules. He said that the government will soon bring new rules to deal with deepfake.
Terming deepfake as a matter of concern, the government has instructed social media companies to identify misleading deepfake videos on the platform as soon as possible and take action on it.
