Mak Yuen Teen, director of the Centre of Investor Protection at the National University of Singapore Business School, said, “Sam’s return may curb the turmoil in the company. However, governance issues may continue. He appears powerful and it is not clear whether the board will be able to monitor him. There is a danger of the board becoming just a rubber stamp.”

The company’s new board will have more experience at the top level and will try to strengthen ties with the US government and Wall Street. Generative AI also has many disadvantages. Cases of fraud are happening with its use and fake videos are also being made. Due to this, regulators in many countries are preparing to take strict action against it. The European Union has amended its AI Act and the US has started efforts for AI regulation. Cases of fraud have increased in India due to the use of generative AI. Due to this, there is a demand to control it. The central government has also expressed concern about its misuse.
