Wipro Employees To Work From Office Thrice A Week Company Sent Email All Details

Wipro has asked its employees to work from the office three days a week. The company sent an email to convey this message to the employees. Till now some companies were allowing employees to work from home since COVID-19, but now most of these companies have started changing their rules.

By Reuters Report According to, on Tuesday, India’s fourth largest IT service provider company, Wipro, informed its employees through email that they will now have to work from the office three days a week. Many companies are changing their remote work policies, the reason for which is being said to be better communication and collaboration among employees. In simple words, the company believes that working from the office leads to better communication among employees and their mutual collaboration increases productivity.

Last week, India’s second-largest software services exporter Infosys ordered some employees to return to the office for ten days every month, while industry leader TCS Ness ordered employees to work from the office five days a week, the report said.

Wipro was already encouraging employees to work from the office thrice a week since May, with about 55% of its workforce currently following the order. As of September 30, Wipro employed 244,707 individuals. The company has officially set November 15 as the date for the new order.

An email dated November 6 said that starting January 7 next year, repeated violators of the policy could face consequences, although the email did not provide precise details of these punitive actions.

According to the report, the email said, (translated from Hindi): “As a global organisation, we will continue to adapt our approach in accordance with local laws and agreements.”
