IRCTC has already partnered with several food brands, including Dominos, Zoop, Comesum, Behrouz among others. Now, passengers can order their favourite food via Zomato at their seats. According to a statement, with this partnership, rail passengers will now have a wide range to choose from.
As we told you, IRCTC has currently started Proof of Concept (POC) at five major railway stations. These five railway stations are New Delhi, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Lucknow and Varanasi. Under this POC, passengers can get pre-ordered food delivered to their seats through the IRCTC e-catering portal with the help of Zomato.
Let us tell you that after this news came out, the share price of Zomato reached its highest level in 52 weeks, which was Rs 115.
With the start of the festive season, recently the railway catering service has also started special services and offers for its passengers. The catering branch of IRCTC had also announced Navratri thali in view of the special demand of fasting passengers.
