BMW said that sales of its petrol and diesel engine cars are increasing. However, Company BMW’s focus is on electric cars including the new BMW iX1. Recently, BMW launched the new MINI Charged Edition in India. It is based on the fully electric MINI 3-door Cooper SE. Its price is around Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be brought to the country as a completely built unit (CBU). Only 20 units of it will be sold. It has some upgrades compared to the standard variant. The MINI Charged Edition has been brought in a new Chili Red color and a multi-tone roof finished in white. It has aspen white exterior trim and headlamp and taillight rings, door handles and logos are in the same color. It has frozen red stripes and energetic yellow highlights on its bonnet and doors and the air inlet on the bonnet is in chrome finish. This limited edition car has 17-inch power spoke alloy wheels.
The company’s sales in the first half of this year stood at 5,867 units. This is an increase of about five percent compared to the same period last year. BMW’s portfolio includes SUVs like the X1, X3 and X5 and coupes and sedans like the 3 Series, 5 Series and 6 Series.
