New BMW The S 1000 XR has been priced at Rs 22.50 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. As we mentioned, the new model is being brought to India via CBU. It can be booked at all BMW Motorrad India-authorised dealerships. The new model is available in three colour options – Blackstorm Metallic, GravityBlue Metallic with Style Sports and LightWhite Solid Paint/Motorsport with M Package.
New BMW The S 1000 XR gets a long standard equipment list, which includes Touring and Dynamic packages. Both these packages allow riders to add the right equipment for long journeys. Its seat has been completely redesigned. The front fairing and lighting system have got sharp edges. The windshield is also adjustable. The seat height has increased to 850 mm, which can be reduced with optional equipment. Its rear now has new motorsports-inspired side panels and air intakes, which give it a more dynamic look.
The BMW S 1000 XR is powered by a new in-line 4-cylinder engine that is capable of producing a maximum power of 170 hp and a peak torque of 114Nm. The motorcycle claims to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 3.25 seconds and has a top speed of 160 kmph. Top Speed It has been reported to be 253 kmph.
DRL is also included in its package. Keyless riding and 12 Ah capacity battery are now standard features. Apart from this, the motorcycle comes equipped with USB charging option as standard. At the same time, the Optimized Shift Assistant Pro in the new model ensures even more precision while shifting gears.
