ET’s Report According to, Cognizant aims to bring users to the office and immerse them in activities that cannot be done from home, such as team building exercises, training sessions or collaborative projects. The company’s decision is linked to the belief that a hybrid work model consisting of a combination of remote and office-based work will shape the future of work.
To facilitate this hybrid vision, Cognizant will introduce a new work scheduling app for its India-based employees. The app is designed to help managers create schedules for their teams and reserve office space for their teammates.
The report further states that Cognizant expressed excitement about bringing employees back to the office. The company said in its statement that “We are excited to see our people in the office and we are committed to expanding in tier-2 cities across India, where many of our associates live. This hybrid work approach will enable our people to build social capital which is fundamental.”
With a total workforce of 347,700, approximately 254,000 of the company’s employees are based in India, making it Cognizant’s largest talent base.
