[ad_1]

There was a stir in all the schools of Delhi-NCR on Wednesday morning. At least 100 schools were threatened with bomb blasts through emails. After the news came out, panic spread among students and parents and schools started being closed. The cyber team of Delhi Police has started investigating the matter. A Mint report said that the bomb threat emails were sent from Russia. A single IP address was allegedly used to send emails to schools from the domain ‘mail.ru’. ANI has quoted sources as saying that such emails are usually sent using a VPN connection so that the sender of the email can hide his original IP address.

What is mail.ru

One Report According to, mail.ru is a Russian webmail service, which was launched in the year 1998. It is the largest webmail provider in Russia and the European continent, with more than 100 million active e-mail accounts. It is the fifth largest mail provider in the world.

So was this threatening email sent from Russia?

As we told you, such emails are usually sent using VPN connection so that the sender can hide his original IP address. In such a situation, it is not necessary that the emails have been sent from Russia. Enemies can carry out such conspiracies sitting in the country or from any other country.

Police is tracing the IP address

The police team investigating the case is trying to trace the IP address from which the email was sent. If it succeeds, it will be easy to identify the person who sent the email. The police is also investigating whether the email was really sent with the intention of threatening or there is some mischief in it.
