The company had told Rajesh all the features of the car. Rajesh Mishra had also seen the advertisements shown by Anand Mahindra on social media.
According to the report, Rajesh had gifted that Scorpio car to his son Dr. Apoorv Mishra. The car met with an accident on 14 January 2022. While returning from Lucknow to Kanpur, the car hit the divider due to fog and overturned. Rajesh Mishra’s son Apoorv lost his life in the accident.
The report says that after the incident, on January 29, Rajesh reached Tirupati Auto and told about the defects in the car. He also informed that his son had worn the seat belt, but the airbags did not open during the accident. He said that the car was sold to him through fraud. The complainant says that if the car had been sold after proper inspection, then his son would not have died in the accident.
It is also alleged that when he complained, the company employees argued with him. The complainant’s family was abused at the behest of the company manager. They were threatened with death. Later, the car was also taken to Mahindra’s showroom.
