If the new rule comes, then if two people doing a transaction for the first time send and receive a digital payment of more than Rs 2,000, then it will take 4 hours.
Citing RBI’s 2022-23 report, the report said that the highest number of frauds reported in banks were in the digital payment category. A total of 13,530 cases amounted to fraud worth Rs 30,252 crore. Out of this, about 49 percent of the cases were of digital payments.
