Google to Stop Continuous Scroll in Search Results know Details

Tech giant Google is about to stop offering continuous scrolling in search results, it was introduced exactly two years ago. According to a report, Google has announced that it will soon stop offering continuous scrolling for search results on both mobile and desktop platforms, instead getting a page by page lookup format.

Google first introduced persistent search results on mobile in 2021 and a year later it was made available on desktop platforms as well. However, it is now reportedly being discontinued. Search Engine Land Report According to Google, the tech giant is discontinuing this feature and will instead adopt the Search by Page format. A Google spokesperson reportedly said that the feature will be discontinued for desktop platforms from today, while it will also be discontinued on mobile devices in the coming months.

Instead of continuous search, desktop users will now see the page number below the Google logo followed by the next option. Mobile devices are likely to be offered more than one result option that will load the next search result page. According to the report, users will have to navigate to the next page after every 10 search results. Google reportedly said that automatically fetching search results did not give better results with the search engine. The company said that “This change is meant to allow the search company to provide search results faster on more searches instead of automatically loading results that users have not requested.”

Google Google has been in the news for the past few weeks as the search engine has introduced several artificial intelligence (AI) features on its platform that promise quicker and better search results. However, one of the highlighted features, known as the AI ​​Overview, started providing incorrect and somewhat bizarre information, some of which was based on questionable search results. Google claimed that the AI ​​Overview only shows information about the top web results. The search tool’s flaw was due to problems faced while filtering content. Since then, the feature has been significantly reduced. A report revealed that it is visible for only 15 percent of search queries.
