Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Tuesday indicated that the government may take a tough stand on this. We will talk to the industry and bring a comprehensive framework to strengthen the existing framework.” Chandrasekhar said that the government is working on a new framework to ensure that the industry is able to meet the demand. He said, “We are connecting with all the platforms. I believe that the government and the platforms are partners to make the Internet open, safe, reliable and accountable in the country. Deepfakes, which are misinformation being created using AI, are a big and clear threat to the people of the country who use the Internet.
