This can weaken the credibility of society and its institutions.” Stakeholders The meeting included representatives from social media platforms, NASSCOM, an organization of software companies, and professors from the field of AI. Ashwini said, “We are starting to make regulations for deepfakes.” He said that the government will work on four points – identifying deepfakes, preventing the spread of such content, strengthening the reporting process and raising awareness on this issue.
All the stakeholders present in this meeting also expressed similar apprehensions about Deepfakes. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also warned about Deepfakes. Modi had said that he has asked the ChatGPT team to identify Deepfakes and issue warnings if such videos are circulated on the Internet. He said that in the era of Artificial Intelligence, it is important that technology is used responsibly.
Along with this, Modi also said that one of his Deepfakes He also referred to the video in which he was shown performing Garba. He said, “Recently I saw a video in which I am seen singing a Garba song. Many more such videos are available on the Internet.” Modi asked the media to make people aware of this issue. The issue of deepfake videos has been in the headlines for the past few weeks. Deepfake videos of popular actresses Rashmika Mandanna and Kajol have given it more importance. These videos were prepared by editing. There is a demand for making regulations regarding deepfake in many other countries as well.
