Nitin and Nikhil Kamat, co-founders of Zerodha, one of the largest stock broking firms, have donated about Rs 110 crore to organizations related to climate change and environmental sustainability. Nikhil Kamat has informed about donating half of his wealth this year. He is the youngest philanthropist in this list.
This list includes those who have made major contributions to charity, social causes and community development. This year’s list also includes separate information about those who have made donations from their personal wealth in addition to their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contributions. The amount of donations made by the people included in this list has increased in the last few years.
