[ad_1]

Nokia’s licensee company HMD is going to launch its first smartphone in India soon. The company had recently revealed its name as ‘Arrow’, but now, HMD has announced its decision to drop this name. HMD informed through its latest social media post that the Arrow name chosen by the company for its first smartphone in India is being dropped due to some legal reasons. In such a situation, the company will now launch the upcoming smartphone with some other name instead of Arrow. However, the name has not been announced yet. It is believed that HMD’s upcoming first smartphone in India will be the HMD Pulse introduced in the global market.

Last Sunday, through a social media post, HMD said that due to legal hurdles, the company is changing the name ‘Arrow’ decided for its first smartphone in India. In the month of May, the company ran a campaign in which people were asked to choose a name for HMD’s first phone coming to India. Five people were also to be rewarded in this campaign. However, now it has been confirmed that the name of the upcoming HMD smartphone will not be Arrow.

In its post, HMD wrote, “Thank you for your amazing response to our #HMDNameOurFirstSmartphone contest! Although for legal reasons we can’t use the name “Arrow”, all five winners will receive their prizes after launch.

HMD says that the new name of its first smartphone in India will be revealed in a few days. However, the name change process may delay the phone’s launch in the country.

It is being said about this phone of HMD that this phone will be a rebadged HMD Pulse. In such a situation, we expect its specifications to be similar to Pulse. This can be an entry level smartphone. It can have a 6.65-inch IPS display panel, which will have a 90Hz refresh rate. A notch can be seen on the screen with a punch hole design. A microSD card slot will also be provided in the phone. The phone can have Unisoc T606 chipset for processing.

The phone was launched in the global market in a base configuration of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Apart from this, another variant of 6GB RAM and 64GB storage can also be introduced. It can have a single 13-megapixel rear camera. Pulse has a 5000mAh battery, with which a 10W charger is available. Apart from this, a 3.5mm headphone jack is also provided in the device.
