Kia to reduce Export for Increasing Supply of Seltos And Sonet in India

Kia, one of the biggest companies in the automobile market, is seeing a rise in sales in the country. The company is getting a strong demand for the Seltos SUV. Due to this, Kia’s unit in the country has decided to increase its production capacity and cut down on exports. Recently, the company introduced the updated Sonet.

Kia started its business in the country four years ago. The company’s managing director, Tae-Jin Park, said, “We have an aggressive business plan for the next year. The company has planned to increase 100 sales outlets. Along with this, the production capacity will be increased by one lakh units.” Company Some changes have been made in the exterior design of the updated Sonet. Along with this, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) has been added to it. It can be launched in India in the first quarter of next year. New Sonnet Booking will start from 20th December.

Sonet is an important model for the company. It is sold in the country as well as exported. It competes with Maruti Suzuki’s Brezza and Hyundai’s Venue. It is an SUV less than four meters. However, the best-selling model for Kia in the country is Seltos. The design of DRL has been changed slightly in the updated Sonet. Its headlights and front bumper have also changed. It will be made available in eight single and two dual-tone colors. Its monotone colors are Olive, White, Silver, Grey, Red, Blue, Clear White and Black. Dual-tone colors include red with black roof and white with black roof.

It has a 10.25 inch main touchscreen display and a 10.25 inch LCD driver display. Along with this, 360 degree camera, smart air purification system, seven speaker Bose sound system and electric sunroof have been provided. Last month, Kia reduced the price of Seltos SUV. The company launched it in July at a starting price of Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Depending on the variants of Seltos, its price has decreased by about Rs 2,000. It competes with Hyundai’s Creta.
