Man trapped in fraud date from dating app pays rs 61000 in Mumbai club

In the digital age, people use online dating apps indiscriminately. But now fraudsters have found a new way to cheat people through dating apps. In the recent past, there have been many such incidents in which two people talk through a dating app. They meet at an expensive restaurant, and then after making a huge bill, the man or woman met through the app suddenly leaves the person in front. Another such case has come to light in Mumbai.

Mumbai This incident is said to have happened at Godfather Club in Andheri West, which has created a ruckus on social media. Actually, a social activist, Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj has made a post on X which is going viral. This is really a shocking incident. According to the post, this fraud tinderstarted from one of the popular dating apps like Bumble, Hinge and OKCupid. Here a man talks to a woman and the two soon get connected.

After this, both of them plan to meet. The meeting place was decided as Godfather Club in Andheri West. Allegedly, this club was chosen as the meeting place in a planned manner. After coming to the club, the woman orders very expensive things from this restaurant which includes expensive liquor, hookah etc. Whereas these things were not even listed in the menu. The man is unable to understand this trap to impress the woman.

After placing the order, the woman immediately leaves the restaurant and the man is left sitting there, stunned. The bill handed over to the man by the restaurant was of Rs 61 thousand, which can also be seen in the pictures shared in the social media post. When the man refuses to pay this bill, the staff and bouncers from the restaurant start threatening him, and ask him to settle the matter.

According to the report, there is a whole network of such clubs spread in Mumbai which have been duping people in this way. Such clubs also reportedly keep PR personnel who hire women to lure men through dating apps and trap them in similar situations. There are many cities like Delhi, Gurugram, Bengaluru, Hyderabad in which similar incidents keep coming to the fore. In June, a similar incident happened with a student preparing for civil services in which he was trapped for a bill of Rs 1.2 lakh in a restaurant.
