In the first six months of the current financial year, sales in the country have exceeded 10 lakh units. This is the first time that Maruti has crossed the sales figure of 10 lakh units in six months of a financial year. The company’s exports have also increased last month. The company exported 22,511 units in September. This was 21,403 units in the same period last year. Maruti’s compact sedan Dzire has achieved the sales figure of 25 lakh units in 15 years of its launch.
