NASA Will Provide Advanced Training to Indian Astronauts for Joint Mission to ISS

A joint mission of America and India can soon be sent to the International Space Station (ISS). For this, Indian astronauts will be given advanced training by the American space agency NASA. There was an agreement between the two countries regarding the joint mission on the ISS.

US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, said at an event, “Indian astronauts will soon be trained by NASA. The aim is to send a joint mission to the International Space Station this year or soon after.” The US Commercial Service (USCS) said in a press release, “Soon we will launch the NISAR satellite from ISRO’s Satish Dhawan Space Center. It will monitor the Earth’s surface, sea level rise and resources like the cryosphere.” NASA It is a joint earth observation mission of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Garcetti said, “We are working together in the peaceful use of space and efforts for peace.” The Artemis Accord between India and the US is a framework between the two countries for the exploration of the Moon and beyond. ISRO Chairman, S Somanath said, “Connections between India and the US are getting stronger in critical technologies and especially in space-related missions.”

Last year, NASA said that the US is ready to help India build its space station. During his visit to India, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said that the US and India plan to send an Indian astronaut to the International Space Station by the end of next year. ISRO And the joint venture between India and NASA plans to launch the state-of-the-art satellite NISAR soon. ISRO is also exploring the possibility of using NASA’s Hypervelocity Impact Test (HVIT) for testing Gaganyaan’s module Micrometeoroid and Orbital Debris Protection Shields. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked ISRO to aim to build an Indian space station by 2035 and land astronauts on the Moon by 2040. The NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) has been developed at a cost of approximately $1.5 billion.
