Non Delhi Registered Ola Uber Cabs Entry Banned Due to Air Pollution Concern All Details

Delhi Air Pollution: The rising air pollution has made it difficult for Delhiites to breathe. The Air Quality Index (AQI) is rising every day in the capital. In many areas, the AQI has reached close to 750. Let us tell you that the AQI level of clean air suitable for breathing is said to be below 50. The Delhi government is making every effort to reduce pollution. New rules are being made every day. Now, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to implement the odd-even formula from 13 to 20 November and as per the Supreme Court order, Delhi has also banned the entry of app-based cabs registered in other states, i.e. Ola and Uber.

Delhi Government’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai made several announcements during a press conference, one of which was the announcement of banning the entry of app-based cab services in Delhi. Cabs which are not registered in Delhi will no longer get entry in Delhi. Let us tell you that cabs registered in Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Haryana (HR) also operate in Delhi. After the new decision, only DL registered cabs will get entry in Delhi.

However, the Delhi government has not issued any written order in this regard nor has any information been given as to when this rule will be implemented.

In his meeting, Rai said that the government is going to present a study report on odd-even in the Supreme Court on Friday. The final decision will be taken on Friday after the Supreme Court’s direction. Gopal Rai said that the Transport Department has been asked to ban app-based taxis coming from other states.

He said in his statement, “The Supreme Court had said something about BS 3 and BS 4 diesel vehicles with orange stickers. We have asked for details of that as well. We will give full information about odd-even to the Supreme Court on Friday. After that, it will be decided whether odd-even will be implemented from the 13th or not.”

Apart from this, it has been told that till Thursday the smog tower will be run at full capacity. 611 teams have also been formed to prevent open burning.
