Reliance Jio and IIT Bombay working on Bharat GPT may compete with ChatGPT

giant of telecom sector Reliance Jio Now it wants to dominate the world of AI as well. Jio Infocomm Chairman Akash Ambani said on Wednesday that the company is trying to introduce the ‘Bharat GPT’ program in collaboration with the ‘Indian Institute of Technology’, Bombay (IIT). Apart from this, Reliance Jio is also thinking of bringing an operating system (OS) for television. The company has been working in the direction of television operating system for some time now.

According to a PTI report, Ambani, while addressing IIT Bombay’s annual event ‘Techfest’, said that creating an environment of growth is very important for the company and work on the concept of ‘Jio 2.0’ is already underway.

He said, ‘We are working on a project to bring ‘Bharat GPT’ program in collaboration with IIT, Bombay. However, only preliminary work has been done with generative AI and language models. The next decade will be defined by these applications.

Akash Ambani said that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will bring changes in every sector of products and services. Efforts are being made to implement AI in all sectors. Akash Ambani also said that his company will bring new products and services in the field of media as well as commerce and communication. Jio is seriously working on bringing its own operating system for television.

He said that the company is excited about the offer of 5G private network. Under this, resources will be provided to any company for 5G. Talking about AI chatbot, ChatGPT has become popular all over the world. Microsoft is also working in this direction. India is expected to benefit from Jio’s entry into this field.
