Tech Company Globant Allows All 30000 Employees To Work From Home

[ad_1]

Tech giant Globant is setting a new example by allowing its employees to work from home. The company is spread across 33 countries and employs more than 30 thousand people. The company is allowing full-time work from home to all its employees. This is a big step in itself because Globant is one of the world’s largest tech companies that is providing work from home facilities to employees on such a large scale.

Globant The CEO is Martin Migoya. Buenos Aires Times According to him, Migoya likes employees coming to the office and working, but it should not be done by keeping a gun on someone’s head. Migoya said that his employees come to the office to work on their own. He said that he understands the importance of office very well. For him, office is a center of engagement. It is a place to support each other, not just a place to work. Martin said, ‘We have seen that people are coming to the office, they gather together, they use the office in a different way, and we are also giving a new look to our offices. So that we can keep pace with the changing times.’

Migoya’s team Corona Offices have been redesigned after the pandemic. Individual desks have been replaced with round tables to accommodate more people, and more space has been created for lounges. The company’s global CEO Patrica Pomies also believes the same. Recently, she expressed her opinion through a post on X. In which Patrica said that remote work was not a mistake. It is not necessary to have fixed days to come to the office unless people feel a lack of motivation while working from home.

Patricia also believes in autonomy, and recommends giving each team the freedom to work in the way they feel best, whether it’s from home or office. Globant’s move is at odds with Alphabet Inc’s Google, Microsoft Corp, and Meta, which have implemented policies that require employees to come to the office and work. There is a debate going on in India on this topic as well. Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath had said some time ago that the concept of work from home is not resonating with some of his employees. It becomes difficult for decision makers as there is a communication barrier.
