Tesla Model Y catches fire during charging at supercharging station

A Tesla electric car burned to ashes at a charging station in Pennsylvania, United States. The EV caught fire at a Sheetz supercharging station in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on July 8. Although the model of the car is not yet confirmed, it is likely to be a Model Y.

On the fire at the Pennsylvania supercharging station Upper Allen Fire Department And other fire services responded immediately. Those responding included Upper Allen Police, Mechanicsburg Fire Company, Team 200, Lisburn Fire Company and Hampden Township Fire Department. However, despite the efforts of all of them, the car could not be saved from being almost completely burned.

The Upper Allen Fire Department provided a full incident report but the cause of the fire was not released to the public. The fire department closed the road while dealing with the fire, used a fire hydrant on the other side of the road and remained on scene for approximately 5 hours, as there was a possibility that another explosion could occur.
