In the same month last year, this figure was 8,103 units. Last month, the company’s exports grew by six percent to 87,952 units.
Recently TVS Motor’s iQube crossed the total sales figure of one lakh units. To meet its increasing demand Company has prepared to increase its production. iQube competes with Ola S1 Pro and Ather 450X. This electric scooter has a 3.4 kWh battery. Its range is about 100 kilometers on a single charge. Its top speed is 78 kilometers per hour. Its another variant iQube ST has a 5.1 kWh battery. Its range is about 145 kilometers and top speed is 82 kilometers per hour. It can be charged up to 80 percent in about five hours. This electric scooter has a 5-inch display and its ST variant has a 7-inch display.
The company also launched a new electric scooter TVS X. Its price is around Rs 2.5 lakh. This electric scooter has 12 inch alloy wheels and 19 liters of storage capacity inside the seat. Sales of electric two-wheelers have increased rapidly in the last few years. In the electric two-wheeler segment Ola Electric ranks first. A few months ago, the central government had cut the FAME-II subsidy. After this, the prices of electric two-wheelers had increased. This year’s Economic Survey stated that the market for electric vehicles in the country is expected to grow to one crore units annually by 2030. It is estimated that this will create about five crore direct and indirect jobs.
