What is Drishti 10 Starliner navy flags off Adani Group india made Drone

The strength of the Indian Navy has increased further. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral R Hari Kumar on Wednesday flagged off a drone named Drishti 10 ‘Starliner’. This drone is an advanced intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) platform. Its endurance capacity is 36 hours. It can carry 450 kg of weight with it. The biggest feature of this drone is to fly in every weather and condition. According to NDTV report, Drishti 10 ‘Starliner’ has received STANAG 4671 certification and is capable of flying in both types of airspace.

On flagging off the drone, Admiral R Hari Kumar said that this is an important occasion and a big step for India seeking self-reliance in ISR technology and maritime dominance. He said that the Adani Group has worked systematically over the years to develop local capabilities other than manufacturing and has shown its commitment to unmanned systems. He said that the integration of Drishti 10 ‘Starliner’ will enhance our naval operations and naval capabilities. Hari Kumar said that this will also strengthen maritime surveillance.

The flag off ceremony of Drishti 10 ‘Starliner’ took place at Adani Aerospace Park in Hyderabad. Adani Defense and Aerospace has manufactured this drone. The company has established capabilities in areas such as small arms, unmanned aerial vehicles, radars, defense electronics and avionics, tactical communication systems and electro-optical systems for the army and paramilitary forces.

Adani Defence has also set up India’s first unmanned aerial vehicles manufacturing facility, India’s first private sector small arms manufacturing facility. The company is also setting up India’s first aircraft MRO and maintenance, repair facility in line with international standards.
