Free AI editing tools
Magic Eraser, the much-loved tool for removing unnecessary objects from photos, is now free for all Google Photos users. The tool can remove anything that ruins a user’s perfect shot, including people in the background, power lines, or anything else. Google is also making Photos Unblur free, which uses machine learning to sharpen blurry photos. Users will also get features like HDR effects for photos and videos, Portrait Light for adjusting light in portraits, and Color Pop to make a particular color stand out.
Along with these tools Google Google is also making Magic Editor free. The tool uses advanced AI to let users perform complex edits. Users can reposition subjects, change skies, fill in gaps, and more. Magic Editor, previously available only on Pixel 8 phones, is now available on all Pixel devices. Google is offering 10 free Magic Editor edits per month for everyone. If you need more, you’ll need to get a Google One premium plan (with at least 2TB of storage).
These new features will be available on a number of devices, including Android phones running 8.0 or later, iPhones with iOS 15 or later, and even Pixel tablets. The rollout begins on May 15, so you’ll have to wait a few weeks. Google’s decision to make these powerful AI tools free shows that photo editing is growing in popularity. With this decision, Google Photos will become an even better option for those who want to improve their photos without using complex software.
