Tipster Smart Pikachu has said in a post on social media platform Weibo that the Mate 70 series may have upgrades like support for satellite communication. It can be given new variable aperture technology and periscope telephoto sensor. These smartphones can have 3D spatial zoom feature which will provide immersive video and audio experience. The Mate 70 series will have HarmonyOS Next operating system. It can have Kirin chip with features related to artificial intelligence (AI). The 1.5K resolution display can be retained in this series.

The company has also introduced an art version of it. It has 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. The inner display of Huawei Pocket 2 is 6.94 inches. Its resolution is 2,690 x 1,136 pixels and refresh rate is up to 120 Hz.
