TVS Motor’s two-wheeler sales in the country grew by 21 percent to 2,67,502 units. Its motorcycle sales grew by nearly 46 percent to 1,84,023 units. Company TVS scooter sales grew 26 percent to 1,32,152 units. The company’s total exports stood at 98,856 units with a growth of nearly 85 percent. TVS two-wheeler exports grew 98 percent to 90,308 units. Its three-wheeler sales grew 16 percent to 10,614 units.
To meet the growing demand for electric scooters, the company has prepared to increase the production capacity of iQube to 25,000 units per month. It also plans to expand the sales network of electric two-wheelers. The company has also prepared to export electric two-wheelers in the international market. Its electric scooter iQube competes with Ola S1 Pro and Ather 450X.
This electric scooter has a 3.4 kWh battery. Its range is about 100 kilometers on a single charge. The top speed of iQube is 78 kilometers per hour. Its other variant iQube ST has a 5.1 kWh battery. Its range is about 145 kilometers and top speed is 82 kilometers per hour. This electric scooter can be charged up to 80 percent in about five hours. The price of TVS’s new electric scooter TVS X is around Rs 2.5 lakh. It has 12 inch alloy wheels and 19 liters of storage capacity inside the seat. TVS Motor plans to increase the range of its electric two-wheelers. The company will launch electric two-wheelers at different price points. Sales of electric two-wheelers have increased in the last few years. In this market Ola Electric It ranks first with more than 40 percent share. Many companies are launching their two-wheelers in this segment.
