ET Report According to the, the app will be developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), an autonomous body owned by the Railway Ministry.
According to a railway official, now users will not have to download many apps for railway information. This will improve user experience. Because all types of railway services will be available in a single app. The services of the three apps mentioned above will be included in it, along with this, it will also provide services of other railway apps like flight ticket booking, in-train food delivery, ticket purchase management etc. Other railway apps have been downloaded crores of times, but after the arrival of the super app, all types of information will be available to the users in a jiffy.
After the arrival of a single app, the digital services of the railways will be accessible to more users. This will eliminate the need for multiple apps. Earlier, another app was launched by the railways in April last year. Western Railways has launched the ‘Yatri App’ (TravellerApp) was launched. ‘Yatri App’ is an app on which passengers can see the live status of the train as well as announcements, latest time table, maps of main railway stations etc. The app can be downloaded from Google Play Store as well as Apple Store. Apart from this, the app can also be downloaded from the railway website.
