MG Motor Increases Price of Hector SUV

Automobile company MG Motor, which started its business in the country a few years ago, has increased the prices of its Hector and Hector Plus SUVs. This is the third time in a year that the company has increased its prices. Hector Plus is available in six and seven seat options.

It competes with Hyundai’s Creta, Kia’s Seltos and Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara. The price of Hector and Hector Plus has been increased by Rs 40,000. Earlier Company had increased its prices in August. It is the company’s best-selling model in the country. The company relaunched the Hector and Hector Plus at this year’s Auto Expo with a new front design. It has a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system and ADAS Level 2 technology.

However, there was no change in its engine. Hector comes with 1.5 liter petrol, 1.5 liter petrol hybrid and 2.0 liter diesel engine. It has options of six speed manual and automatic gearbox. Sales of the company’s ZS EV are also increasing rapidly. A few months ago, MG Motor received an order of 500 units for this from EV ride sharing platform BluSmart Mobility. This electric car will be included in BluSmart Mobility’s fleet in Delhi NCR and Bangalore.

This electric car is available in two variants, Excite and Exclusive and their price is Rs 23,38,000 and Rs 27,29,800 respectively. It comes with six charging options like DC super fast chargers, AC fast chargers and portable chargers. The company is also offering free installation of chargers at home or office for ZS EV customers. MG Motor claims that the ZS EV can catch the speed of 0-100 kmph in just 8.5 seconds. It comes with a battery pack of 50.3 kWh capacity, which is connected to a permanent magnetic synchronous motor. This powertrain gives the car a power of 174 bhp. The company’s sales have increased rapidly in the last few months.
