Xiaomi has launched a new drum washing machine under its MIJIA brand, which comes with a sleek and modern design and powerful specifications. The company claims that the new washing machine is capable of removing bacteria and mites from clothes and can clean clothes in an excellent way thanks to intelligent features. Xiaomi Mijia 8KG Drum Washing Machine has been launched in China for 999 Yuan (around Rs. 11,500). According to GizmoChina Accordingit is currently available for purchase through retailer JD.com. The company does not currently sell home appliances in India, so the chances of its launch in the country are slim to none.

The design of Xiaomi MIJIA 8kg Drum Washing Machine is quite sleek. The company says that the body of this ultra-thin machine is only 495 mm thick, due to which it takes up less space. It has a touch screen and also a physical knob has been provided to operate some functions.

The machine comes equipped with a BLDC motor, which reduces wear and noise. This device senses the weight of the clothes placed in the drum and selects the water filling and washing mode accordingly.

The MIJIA 8kg drum washing machine has a 95ºC high temperature limit and can clean bacteria from dirty clothes with a 99.99% sterilization rate, as claimed by the company. The washing machine can also kill mites from clothes at 60ºC. One of its specialties is that clothes can be added to it even while the machine is running.
