Google Doodle Marks Starting of Lok Sabha Elections 2024

Today, i.e. Friday, April 19, 2024, Google Doodle is very special for India, because voting has started for 102 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Celebrating this festival of democracy, Google has presented the doodle in a different style. In today’s doodle, the first outstretched finger of the hand has been placed in place of the second ‘O’ in Google. The finger has ink on it which is a symbol of casting vote in India. After the voter casts his vote, ink is applied to keep a record of it.

India is the largest democracy in the world, followed by countries like the United States, Indonesia and Brazil. More than 16.63 crore voters, including about 8.4 crore men and 8.23 ​​crore women, will cast their votes at 1.87 lakh polling booths today in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections. Voting will take place in 21 states and union territories in the first phase, making it the largest phase. The election to elect 543 members of the 18th Lok Sabha in the country began on April 19 this year and will be completed in 7 phases by June 1. The second phase of voting will be held on April 26, the third phase on May 7, the fourth phase on May 13, the fifth phase on May 20, the sixth phase on May 25 and the seventh phase on June 1. The counting of votes and the results will be announced on June 4.

In this election, NDA is trying to increase its presence in the Lok Sabha whose biggest member is BJP. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many others have raised the slogan ‘Abki Baar 400 Paar’ this time. At the same time, opposition parties have formed INDIA group against BJP, between whom a tough fight will be seen.
